took my bansuri teacher into the studio in Varanasi this June. He recorded 45 minutes each of bansuri and shehnai for a meditation video I'm working on. Looking out at about half a foot of new snow on the ground, at the thermometer that's reading below zero - both in C and F - listening to him on bansuri . . . feeling warmer . . .

Alan Parsons Project
Tales of Mystery And Imagination

a very interesting album from 1976 thats based on the life and work of american poet edgar allan poe...if you are a fan of poe, you might like this record...

one of poe's works....
"
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep - while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream"

Hey Jude - The Beatles (need i tell this? )

Its video is amazing...
I loved that na na na .... wonderful! The chorus really takes you..

and that crazy shouting by Paul at the end....OMG thats so nice ...crazy indeed tho

Quote:
Hey jude, dont make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

Hey jude, dont be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey jude, refrain,
Dont carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.

Hey jude, dont let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey jude, begin,
Youre waiting for someone to perform with.
And dont you know that its just you, hey jude, youll do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.

Hey jude, dont make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then youll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh.

Na na na na na ,na na na, hey jude...
