Tunes of the Day...What are You Listening to?
What sort of music you guys into?
What do you listen to when roaming IM? Right now I'm listening to Richie Havens 'Alarm Clock'. Brilliant. I love anything from Tom Waits to Mos Def, Curtis Mayfield to Tim Buckley, anything with a bit of SOUL! |

Carnatic --- South Indian Classical.
I guess that's one of my main reasons for being there. |

OK, I admit it! An occasional burst of the Grateful Dead goes down nicely!
I probably have The Incredible String Band to thank for my first hearing of Indian Instruments many, many years ago. Anyone else remember them? |

Quite a selection!!
Myself I like, Alabama 3, Afrocelt Sound System, George Thoroughgood,Oasis, Zeppelin, Dylan, Keane, Rock, Salt And Nails, Cast, Dreadzone, etc.etc.etc. Here's a wee tip for all you music lovers (maybe you all know this already but bear with me. For music downloads try Bearshare peer to peer, a great resource for sharing music. The downside on the free version is it comes bundled with a lot of spyware. I tend to install it, download a shit load of music then uninstall and run something like Adaware to spring clean my system!! Don't run adaware before as the Bearshare program won't work properly without the bundled spyware!! Happy hunting!!! By the way this is a great resource for video and other types of media and software, I recently got a few audio books off the site, brilliant! |

Nope, there certianly isn't. I'm a big Nick Drake fan as well, such a shame he was so unappreciated in his time, it's amazing how many people are starting to discover his music. Right now I'm listening to 'Mule Variations' by Tom Waits, like most of his stuff it's a tough listen, but a rewarding one. Last edited by Shiver me Timbers : November 9th, 2004 at 12:30 AM. |

I was listening to 'Sinsemilla Showdown' by Lee Perry and the Mad Professor a couple of days a go. Very nice. Other than that been listening to a lot of James Brown recently and 'Abbatoir Blues' by Nick Cave. ![]()
