Thyagaraja aradhana begins on January 4
THANJAVUR: The 160th aradhana of saint composer Sri Thyagaraja will be held from January 4 to 9, 2007, at the saint's samadhi on the banks of the Cauvery at Thiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district.

One for the carnatic music afficianados and music buffs in general.One day......i hope to attend this.Has been a dream to attend one hopefully when kunnakudi vaidyanathan is still performing.

Providing that there are no snow blizzards in Chicago on January 5, I will arrive in Thanjavur at 6:15 on the 8th by train.
On what day will the Pancharatna Kritis be sung? In other words, what is this year's date for Pushya Bahula Panchami? We are not finding this information readily available from outside India. The article is not very clear either. |

According to a Kutcherribuz newspaper I got from a concert the other day I couldn't see the article online (it is quite informative about getting there, where to eat, etc) but you could have a try on www.kutcheribuzz.com
