The Hungry Tide
I've just finished reading THE HUNGRY TIDE; Amitav Ghosh's newest novel, which is set in the Sunderbans and, among other things, is about the fresh-water dolphins that some have reported seeing in the Ganges.
It's beautifully written, and made me want to be there. What a sense of romance he has! If you're not familiar with Amitav Ghosh, you might also look for his book, THE GLASS PALACE. |
