Everyone seems to know Bollywood music, but Indian Popular film music's most beautiful child has to be Tamil (Tollywood) Film music.
Here is a great site for Tamil movie music and it also has a Tamil Movie music radio station / bit torrent site.

I am really into Indian Popular film music, because its a great way to connect with the people.

Slightly OT: but for free and legal Indian music I use winamp's radio streams.
There are atleast 10 channels I noticed that play Indian music (of 500 or so).
But needs a connection 128 kbps or better..

have always been a big fan of Ilaiyaraja. The new breed of Tamil Music Directors is also not bad either. quite a few good numbers. but i have sort of lost touch.
