Tabla in NYC, 8/15
i just wanted to bring to the new yorker IM members' attention the following tabla performance tomorrow night, wednesday, 8/15, at joe's pub, 9:30 pm.

luckily i saw my error and was able to edit the subject line for this thread from "table" to "tabla". the former is a far less attractive-sounding performance, no? who wants to watch a table? what would it do? raise, drop and change leaves?

Well, I'm a bit late for this. :P But I did actually go to Joe's Pub recently and saw qawwali, and it was extremely good.
