Tabla in NYC, 8/15

i just wanted to bring to the new yorker IM members' attention the following tabla performance tomorrow night, wednesday, 8/15, at joe's pub, 9:30 pm.

luckily i saw my error and was able to edit the subject line for this thread from "table" to "tabla". the former is a far less attractive-sounding performance, no? who wants to watch a table? what would it do? raise, drop and change leaves?

.... well if you had also included the word "dance" in front of the misspelled word then you might have unknowingly attracted an entirely inappropriate and never before seen clientele to Joe's Pub.

Well, I'm a bit late for this. :P But I did actually go to Joe's Pub recently and saw qawwali, and it was extremely good.
