Wink Some music suggestions...

Hey guys!

Firstly - fantastic forum! I was turned onto it by my uncle Tim Makins, who I believe occassionally shows his face around these parts.

Anyway, I guess partly inspired by his enthusiasm for the country, I'm heading over next Saturday for 6 weeks - my first time!

So being a musican, I'm really keen to experience as much and as many of their music scenes as possible (both traditional and western styles). I'll be in Bangalore for 4 weeks, then travelling north for two...

...so any suggestions of events, gigs, 'happenings', beach raves, artists and festivals to look out for while I'm there gratefully recieved...!

Welcome to IndiaMike

There may be some classical music in Bangalore (South Indian classical is different to North), but Chennai really is the place for it.
