Hey guys!
Firstly - fantastic forum! I was turned onto it by my uncle Tim Makins, who I believe occassionally shows his face around these parts. Anyway, I guess partly inspired by his enthusiasm for the country, I'm heading over next Saturday for 6 weeks - my first time! So being a musican, I'm really keen to experience as much and as many of their music scenes as possible (both traditional and western styles). I'll be in Bangalore for 4 weeks, then travelling north for two... ...so any suggestions of events, gigs, 'happenings', beach raves, artists and festivals to look out for while I'm there gratefully recieved...! Welcome to IndiaMike
![]() There may be some classical music in Bangalore (South Indian classical is different to North), but Chennai really is the place for it.
