I Am About To Leave For New Dehli ( Feb 5 ) Can Anyone Suggest A Good Place To Buy Bollywood Movies And A Selection Of Spices? Souvenirs For The Unfortunates Left Back Home!

I do all my souvenir shopping at the (government-run) Cottage Industries Emporium. On my last visit, I spent US$60-something and had so much stuff that I had to buy another bag to carry it onto the plane! Luckily for me, they had some really nice ikat duffel bags!

You can get spices in the food markets -- try Khan Market.

For the Bollywood movies go to Palika bazar. If you are buying a few CD's do bargain hard.
Go to INA market & look at the heaps of colourful spices in the shops there.
wonderwomanusa is right, go to the Government state emporiums at Baba Kharak Singh marg near Regal cinema in CP. Also visit the Khadi(hand made) shop next to the Regal cinema for handmade products, organic spices & honey, silk & raw cotton fabrics & ready made garments. Silk ties are good gifts.

If you want proper copies of bollywood movies there are a few shops selling them in Connaught Place - the ones you can get at Palika Bazaar are pirate copies and often harder to watch
