I saw it..
i will give it 3 out of 5.. its a good timepass affair.. but again the director tried to glamourise the gansters..but I guess in this he failed.. Sanjay Dutt looked best..while Vivek Oberoi had a good role.. |

Wow! Was it really that mediocre?
Here in the US, every Indian is talking about it like it's the next big-hit! I guess I'll wait till it comes out on DVD. Thanks. |

Reviews in newpapers rave about Vivek Oberoi's powerful performance and even back home from my friends I haven't heard any negative remarks.
Nevertheless, I trust my own judgement on movies... maybe next week... Hype is a great crowd puller ![]() |

I have seen the movie. It's Based on actual incident. Although they must have altered some scenes to make it presentable. Vivek Oberoi & Sanjay Dutt's character steal the show. I would def. recommend to watch it.

Himmat, Did it really happen? You know how nowadays studios will push a movie with the "based on a true story" tagline which doesn't mean anything. It may have been inspired by true events but it's not exactly how it went down. Was this "incident" involving that top cop from Bombay that was mentioned in Maximum City?

It really happened. I first that thought that some kids were playing with fire crackers. I realized only after sometime that it was the sound of AK-47s. Brother and I went upto the terrace to get a better view. The building in which the gangsters had taken shelter was surrounded by the cops and there was shooting from both sides. It was a good thing that they could not take any hostages as all the residents of that building had sealed their apartments from the inside. Yes, a top cop by the name of Mr. Khan lead the encounter. |

Himmat, Is the movie in question a take-off on incident you witnessed?
