Wife is correct. Women are attracted to men for their minds, didn't you know?
![]() She has hosted a number of cooking shows from different countries, including India, on the Food Channel in the past. I hope her South India show will be available to watch in the US. |

well, I was in the "WTF???" camp, after several tries of both print and audio. But I always liked him for what he stands for as an Icon, and his totally hot Begum! Rushdie finally dumbed down enough for me in Fury, which I read and thought very insightful. The reference to Proust is off, IMHO, because who has read him??? (at least one IMer, so . . .). and as to being off topic, jeesh . . . NOTHING could be more on topic than the man who put Indialit not only on the map, but in the bookstores. Rock on, Salman, you sexy thing!

I'm gonna have to memorize passages from Midnight's Children and use them on the ladies. His beautiful, gorgeous wife aside, Salman Rushdie must be the wittiest writer I have ever read. The man seems to know everything about everything.

Well there is another style to Salman Rushdie's writing which comes out in 'Haroun and the Sea of Stories'
Written almost like a fairy tale, this book is more of an allegory with characters/situations reflecting Rushdie's own life. The writing style is uncharateristically humorous and the language surprisingly light. Would recommed as a reading to anyone who enjoys Rushdie |
