Hello fellow IMers,
Not sure if this has been posted here before, but Rubin Museum of Art has an Exhibit on Himalayan art and culture as well as an exhibit on early sikh art. Here's a link:

have you been there? If I ever get to New York, I definitely want to visit there....

Yes, it's a really interesting experience. The presentation is superb. The admission is free in the evenings. The museum is relatively small but definitely not cramped. The souvenir shop has some real gems and there's even a bar on the main floor. You can check out the calendar to view events list. I saw a special screening of "The Golden Bracelet" there.
