Research Library
In case anyone is interested, recently a new research library was built in the Punjab, it has I understand the largest selection of Religious books in the world. So I am not sure how public this is but also I am aware that they are working to be fully electronic on line for researching, anyway if anyone wants to know where it is PM me and I will pass on some contact details to enable following up.

Rather and kindly post some details here if you find out any more that's public, I'm sure there'd be an interest, there is one right here!
You are aware I hope that the Vatican has been busy for the past few years putting its library online, quite a feat. How much of that is actually accessible I'm not sure, maybe it's just a catalogue. See http://www.vatican.va/ . There are a zillion repositories of online texts of course, I stumbled over this one a while ago that I found interesting http://www.sacred-texts.com/ . The old Project Gutenberg is another good source for online material of course, http://www.gutenberg.org/ .
