Read Travel, eat Travel
Hi,
I am travel lover. I like travel as well as travel writings. I have a huge collection of travel books. So, would you kindly send me some travel book names (specially in Bengali) with author & publisher names? I will collect those from Kolkata duirng my ensuing visit over there. Welcome to Indiamike! I posted this a long time ago in a different thread, but since you mentioned that you are a fan of travel writing I thought I'd mention it again. There is another discussion group going on that only talks about travel books and travel writing. If you are interested, please go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DepartureLounge/ I got a lot of good advice about books on India before I had my trip there this spring. If you are thinking of traveling just about anywhere--someone on the list has a book to recommend. Diane |

interesting question!
so far we only discussed books about India... why don't you post your favourite TRAVEL books here? the first that comes to my mind is The Alchemist (Paolo Coelho) if you agree it can be viewed as a travel fiction
 i haven't really read that many travel books... would love to hear your recommendations also
