Oscar-nominated films released in India
The last couple of weeks have seen a slew of Oscar-nominated films released in Bombay theaters: Capote, Crash, Memories of a Geisha, Pride and Prejudice with more coming later: Syriana, Munich, Brokeback Mountain and perhaps a few others.
Which of these films are being released in other cities in India? Which films have you seen or plan to see? Of the lot I have seen Capote so far. I generally enjoy political films so I will definitely watch Syriana, Munich and (if it's released) Good Night and Good Luck. I am undecided about Brokeback Mountain and Crash and will probably give P&P and Geisha a miss. Actually the film I most want to see is the Wallace and Grommit. Perhaps if it wins the animation Oscar they will release it here. It would be nice to have some of the foreign-language nominees released as well. |
