Thanks, nomad, for the comments and the information. Living in Allahabad, I had often heard of Budaun (Badayun, Badaun, बदायूँ,), and guessed that Jafar Husain Khan Badauni may be from there. But I thought there may be other places, e.g., in Pakistan, with similar names, so I wasn't sure.
