New Concert for Bangladesh DVD
For any of you who saw the movie (or actually attended the concert!), Concert for Bangladesh just came out on a deluxe DVD. For those of you who don't know, way before the there was Live Aid and other benefit concerts, this was the first benefit rock concert, organized by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar. Harrison organized this concert for August 1, 1971 at New York's Madison Square Garden to raise money for the people of Bangladesh. Along with Harrison and Shankar, the concert features Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Leon Rusell, Klaus Voormann and a set by Bob Dylan.
Proceeds from the sale of this new DVD go to UNICEF. just an FYI......
