Name that tune.

I'm sure there are many tunes/songs that we here and would like to be able to buy, but have no idea of the name of the track or CD, maybe other members can help us out here.

Bijapuri has a song playing in the background of his site, he is enjoying India at the moment, can anyone else identify the song and the CD?

Click this link to hear the song.

The tune is called "Dildoriy" on album "Best of Bhumi".

You can find it and a lot more at ;

http://mp3.amadergaan.com/

If you right click on the .mp3 on the site you will be able to save it to your machine. It certainly gets stuck in your head like an Irish fiddle tune! I've been playing it tooooo many times every day. Thanks to BJ for finding such a winner. Must do a search and find who the singer is. Would like to hear more of her.

PS... Anyone have the lyrics, or a translation?

No echo RickShawWalla, we must have both sent about the same time. Just goes to show how active the IndiaMike site is and how quickly answers come back.

The 4th song by Bhumi, Maa, is absolutely gorgeous, he's probably singing "Why's my dinner in the bin? I was only 5 minutes late", but it's still gorgeous.

Don't know why someone is playing 'twinkle, twinkle little star' in the middle of the song though.

Its a Bengali band song. There are different kinds of songs in Bengali - the most popular being Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul, etc. and "band" refers to music by a band (obviously :>). I'm Indian but not Bengali. So I understood just a little of the song - its theme is a very popular one in Bengali music - about a boatman who has stolen her heart but whom she can't find now. Try an Indian store where a lot of Bengalis shop or a Bangladeshi store to find the CD.

Does anyone know the song in the background of the Peugot ad?
Sure we all know the one I'm talking about, if not I'll explain further.

You need a program that can rip the MPEG format in to a separate mp3 file. The MPEG format is also used on digital cameras , so this could be another way to get audio clips when traveling.
