Thumbs up Mystic India, the movie

Has anyone seen Mystic India? It is shown in IMAX theaters here in the US. For those of you who don't know, an IMAX screen is 5 stories tall and 7 stories wide, special theaters have to be built to house it. It is like you are really "inside" the movie.

I think it may have been out for awhile, but I just came back from seeing it. It is only 45 minutes long. Peter O'Toole narrates the true story of a boy yogi who grows up to be Swami Narayan. It's about his spiritual journey in the late 1700s, 7 years and 8000 miles. But it also gives a little history of India, including the religions, architecture, etc. Stunning scenery.

The opening scene is spectacular, and frankly, I was overcome and starting weeping. During the scene in the Rameswaram temple, I lost it again, too. I saw it with my friend who lived in India during the '70s, and he was rather overcome also.

I highly recommend it, and I will definitely go see it again http://www.mysticindia.com/

Thumbs up Not playing here :(

The photos are breathtaking. I hope they show it in SF IMAX theatre soon. Not sure if there's a DVD version. Thanks for the link. I'll be keeping an eye on its release here.

I think there is a link on the website where you can check what cities it's at or will be at.

If you think the photos are breathtaking, you should see the movie! You can watch trailers of it on the website.

The movie was produced by BAPS -- there is a huge BAPS temple near my house

Now isn't the largest IMAX dome in the world at Mumbai's Imax theatre?!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.
