The notable exceptions being?Actually I remember seeing a movie and feeling that it has even surpassed the book .. but I can't remember which on it was ..
I just loved the LOTR books. There are masterpieces .. the best fantasy series ever.

Baran and Color of Paradise are extraordinary movies. Deeply moving. Children of Heaven is also very good. Majidi is the best, IMO. I managed to see Dev D. It is a slick movie that could have been much better than it was. It lost its way, I think.
I also have Oye Lucky Lucky Oye which I may watch tonight but I also want to watch The Secret In Their Eyes, the Academy Award Winner for Best Foreign Film.

I thought the Double Life Of Veronique was far better than the trilogy. It also had a very special soundtrack by Preissner. I was rather disappointed by the Trilogy when I first saw it.

The one that starred Jason Statham as the football player ..
jason statham in pink panther ???? eessshhhh !try watch the peter sellers version username
... its a series - think its got 3 of them.the pink panther
:brishti
I myself have 5 Pink Panther DVD's..all starring Peter Sellers. There are about 3 more in the series, but not as watchable. The Peter Sellers ones were all directed by Blake Edwards, a great director of comedies...directed 'The Party'(another Peter Sellers great), '10', 'Breakfast At Tiffany's'. His wife was Julie Andrews(Sound Of Music!).
The new series of Pink Panther stars Steve Martin, just no match for the inimitable Peter Sellers.
I have not heard of Jason Statham acting in Pink Panther!

I watched a couple movies this weekend:
From Paris With Love - Good movie. I started the movie without any expectations, and I was mildly surprised that it was so entertaining.
The Hurt Locker - Won 6 Oscars this year, so I just wanted to see what the hype was all about, and a friend of mine also recommended it to me. A very good movie that is shot from a soldier's perspective of the war. It runs a little over 2 hours and it kind of drags towards the end, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Are there non-musical bollywood films? Is so, are there any can't miss, classic non-musical bollywood films? The reason being is that I prefer acting to be acting & without dancing/song - regardless if it is hollywood, bollywood or other. Although the singing/dancing is often very entertaining (especially bollywood) - for me it takes too much away from the intensity, suspense &/or plot credibility that has been built up.
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. ~
