He was amazing. He was like under the skin. An Oscar nomination for sure.

thx a lot AusE and kristinm for your reviews.... i think i will watch this one as i like light and romentic movies with great cinematography.... ( This is a little secret that i loved bachna e hasino and Yuvraj except the acting of salman khan and most people did't liked it ) so i mean that i love light movies with no husstle... i did't liked the gajhni at all.... the love story was fine but overall the movie was crap.... so i think i would love australia.... thx for your reviews again....

A big thumbs-up for Sam Mendes' "Revolutionary Road" starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio. I saw it last night and was very moved. Now of course I need to read the book by Richard Yates.

Some young students would be coming over in the afternoon today. After going thru my collection of films I finally chose one of my favourites Di Sica's Bicycle Thief. This is one of the films that I can watch over & over again.

Frozen River is also a very good movie with powerful performances and a very bleak storyline that takes place on the US/Canadian border in upstate N.Y. It's also up for some awards.

I really didn't like Million Dollar Baby much. Eastwood has been making tragedies for years and for what reason god knows. A Perfect World, Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby..all tragedies..even Unforgiven for that matter...Not that a tragic theme makes a movie bad, but there was nothing 'great' in Million Dollar Baby...a lot of hype

If you were not moved by Million Dollar Baby, perhaps you need to visit the Wizard for a new heart.

Its just the typical bollywood mellodrama presented in hollywood style. Its too overplayed, can't people see that?

Quite frankly, no. It won 4 Oscars including Best Film. I don't remember Clint Eastwood or Morgan Freeman doing any dance numbers. Maybe I fell asleep.

dude u didnt get my point. I'm talking abt the melodrama in that movie. And the academy is human afterall. It chose Shakepere in Love over Saving Private Ryan. I've seen better movies that have moved me much more than MDB...Ordinary People, My Own Private Idaho, The Wrestler...
