Hi Scando,
Not possessing any siddhis and not having been in France lately, I have not yet seen "Café de Flore", though I have read some reviews. Sounds interesting!

With all riddhis and siddihis together, I watched "Café de Flore", yesterday night . I liked it! Ofcourse it did seem a bit confusing initially but as I keenly watched further, seemed interesting!

Thanks Scandojazzbuff for the recommendation!

Also, in the past few days watched a few other movies too -

Margin Call[2011] - liked it
Love Actually - did not interest me much!
Lullaby of Broadway (1951) - I am now a huge fan of Doris Day , so I like most of her movies - simple and nice.
River of No Return (1954) - another simple movie when compared to the action movies which we see these days.
Once Upon a Honeymoon (1942) - liked the lead pair. Film - OK.

I should be watching 'The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)' by evening!

'Love Crime'/Crime d'Amour. with Kristin Scott Thomas, 2010. Very good film. A psychological thriller without the horror.

Watched 'The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)' - anybody not watched it, yet (it was aired on some channel just a few days back), and is keen on watching a real thriller...watch this one! Excellent movie.

BTW also saw Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) in 3D in a nearby theatre. It's good. Kids will really love it.

Perfect sense - 6/10.
An unlike romance movie but loved it very much. About an endemic virus that makes people over the world behave weirdly and in this between love still finds place between a chef and a doctor.
Brilliant chemistry between Eva green and *forgot his name*, movie makes you gape, feel good and ultimately depressing yet it comes out to be a nice watch.

XXY

It is a good movie and it is not movie which you will forget next day. I heard that somebody did not want to give a male or female name for his child that he/she could choose if he/she is male or female. I did not understand very well and the movie changed it.

I saw this movie a few years ago at one of the International Film Festivals held here in BKK. It won Best Picture. It really is an unusual movie that is very moving. The director was there to talk with the viewers after the showing. She received a standing ovation.

This is a very confusing movie for many film-goers. It is a low budget Argentinian movie shot on Uruguayan shore, XXY, which is about a 15 year old teenage girl, who is a intersex child and is confused about sexuality -- whether she is attracted to women or men.

I always wondered why did Lucía Puenzo made a special case movie whom the majority can't relate to?

Most people whom I know have never met a gay or a lesbian couple.

In the theatre, the vast majority of people could relate to this movie. There was no shortage of praise for her. Perhaps in certain societies, this is difficult to understand, but certainly not in Thailand, the gay capitol of the world.

I can't tell if you were serious about your comment of why she would make a movie like this. I think it's quite obvious why she made it.
