i've been looking everywhere for that in Hyderabad! no luck, they have 1 Kerouac book, Lonely Traveler or something (which i have but haven't read)

last book i read was 1 flew over the cukoos nest by Ken Kesey, stunning read, especially having seen the movie before hand, there's no comparison (i loved the movie but the book is mindblowing)

Currently reading "A Brief History of India" by some French guy, only started but it seems good.

The book is awesome, the movie is a letdown. It was one fiction book which had the raw edgy feel to it and you actually end up taking sides as in watching a bloody feud. Of course, then there was Shantaram, which is stunning in it's breadth of experience.

it's one of my favourites too, but the book takes a different perspective and is darker (not that the film is exactly light-hearted). I think Kesey had volunteered for drug testing, he wrote the book after experiences with US government strength LSD. very other-worldly, a little creepy at times.

Jes finished... "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown.
Ok novel.. not very good.. supposed to be a prequel of "Da vinci code" borrows a lot things frm that book.. starts with a murder.. som symbol on the body of the victim and our loving symbologist (Roberl Langdon) is called to investigate and he solves the mystery along with the beautiful daughter of the victim.. !!!!
Very similar plotline to "Da Vinci code"...but lacks the thrill and charm of that one.

Rating --- 2 stars
