KANK - Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (Never Say Goodbye)... KANK for short since we love acronyms... is the latest bollywood multi-starrer going to be released this weekend....a lot of big names...Amitabh Bachchan, Abishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol, John Abraham in special appearance.

its being called an extra-marital pot-boiler~

a nice review here~

KANK is a tiresome film, going by this review.

And here is another review.

Anyways, i dont have it in my list at all. I have had enough of Karan Johar films after Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum and Kal Ho Na Ho.

its a tearjerker isnt it..good lord!!...i was passing buckets around when we saw K3G (Kabi Kushi Kabi Gum) with my nieces..(yeah diehard hrithik, kajol and shah rukh fans these girls)....the popkorns were drowning...even passed it to the row behind us..women behind us were loudly sobbing actually! ...there was a river flowing by the time the movie was done!...

Man shoots his wife after KANK...

this is worse than that moron in gujarat who jumped of the balcony thinking he had superman powers from watching hrithik in krish..

From the article:
MUMBAI (Reuters) - An Indian man who took his wife to a hit Bollywood film about marital tensions hoping she would allow him to marry again shot her after she refused, police and a newspaper said.

KANK is pretty awful. If you were charmed by K3G and Kal Ho Na Ho, you'll be severely disappointed with KANK, dude.

One thing abundant in this movie is tears. The biggest problem with Karan Johar's movies are that they are made to make you expereince the feeling leaving out any reasoning. So if Shah Rukh's character commits adultery, you would be 'feeling' the feelings of Shah Rukh, Rani Mukherjee or Preity Zinta rather than reasoning his deed. SO if you love to be moved to tears...go ahead.

Another reason to avoid this movie....check out Taran Adarsh's review on it. He rated it high....precisely why I wouldn't dare to watch it.

I'm still recovering from this tortuous movie. The only redeeming aspect was the furniture (Karan Johar seems to favour Mies van der Rohe and the like). After a while, I stopped listening to the dialogue and checked out all the accessories and furniture in the various houses and apartments featured in the movie. The clothes were nice too. That's about it.

Apparently Preity's handbags are quite nice. I have this on good authority, as I can't tell a Louis from a . . . well, I'm sure there must be others.

Hmmm, now why did I miss the handbags? I've no doubt the handbags were nice, given the amount of money they must have spent on the clothes and furnishings.
Anyone know what this movie cost to make?
