and what about book fairs that are held so often in India?
there is one coming up in Delhi 14-22 February, I am thinking if it is worth going (can ordinary consumers buy books there ie not in bulk) or I'd rather stick to visiting traditional book stores? |

I'll miss it by a week! Last year I was two days late for the book fair in Kolkata. I need to plan my trips better! |

i did go to the one held in Feb, in pragati Maidan, and was not impressed... found mostly books on computers, business and medicine (none of that was of interest to me). some good kids boosk and very very few on spirituality... left empty handed... eventually bought most of my books from my hotel bookstore or the Bookworm in CP.
what i liked, however, about the Feb fair, was that i have only met one other foreigner there during the whole evening of browsing ![]() |
