*Whoops see Anonymous's post just above. It appears that unsurprisingly Sun Ra did a track called India on his album Super Sonic Jazz, late fifties. Quote:

the ashram song, by lauren Hoffman in album meggido
the lyrics: Swami G lay your hands on me, That I might be healed, Bring your light up close to me, So that I might see. Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om, Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om. Swami G i'm your devotee, Won't you come to my room, I'll make sacrifices dear, Get me in with God. Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om, Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om. Preacher, prophet deliver me, I'm a sinful girl, Can I buy back my chastity, With these rubies and pearls. Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om, Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om. Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om, Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om |

Bimbombay - Jimmy Rogers This morning this tune just popped into my head for some reason and now I can't get rid of it - maybe I can leave it here... ![]() |
