India at the Bolshoi
What does the Bolshoi Ballet have to do with India? Hah! They are travelling this year, and performing La Bayadere, which is a full-size ballet with an Indian story of love and death. We saw it last night and just loved it, so if the Bolshoi is coming to your town, try to get those pricey tickets and prepare to be enchanted by India once again.
This is one ballet, by the way, that has wonderfully athletic parts for the male dancers, as well as lots of ballerinas (I think at one point there were about 35 on stage at one time) and enough tutus to go around!
