If you're in the UK at the moment...

Theres a program on tonight on c4 at 9pm its called "Partion" its about the 1947 partion of india and the end of the british raj. I think it would be worth watching and would be very educational if you dont know much about that.

I also read that the BBC are doing a few special programmes soon to mark the 60th anniversary of Partition.

I'd like to see a 3-4 hour programme that really goes into detail, like why, what were the alternatives, who said what and when, what may have happened without partition......

I'm not trying to start a conversation here about it, but I would be very interested in a detailed look at Partition, and the BBC can be very good at this type of programme, even if it does blame Britain for everything that ever went wrong in the world.

i think alot of people including indians were at fault not just britan.

I think this program on c4 is only 1 and a half hours long. 9pm- 10.30pm.

Yes, I was dissapointed that it was just a single programme, I was hoping it was part 1 of 4 or something like that.

I also suspect C4 will be more interested in presentation than historic fact, but I'm still looking forward to seeing the programme.
