I fell in love with... mp3

One of our newest member's CaptainMark has been gracious enough to add a very listenable and enjoyable Mp3 to our download area.

It's called "I fell in love with the Curry House Owner's Daughter".

Yes you read that right!

As described iby him it's "A little pop song what I wrote especially for curry lovers. (Boy meets girl over a vindaloo.)"

You can find it in Mp3 format in our Downloads Section (click here)

Be forewarned, after about the fourth or fifth listen you may be singing along and everyone around you may think your crazy.

It grows on you, shall have to practice it next time I go for a curry.

Sadly, I have not saw a female member of staff (or relation) in a curry house in the last 5 years; it must just be the places I go to (mostly Muslim).

Is it CaptainMark singing?

I really like this song (except for the lyrics as I can't relate to them myself, though I feel for those who do - but the band and voice are very good).

Hi all!

I've been lurking a while collecting loads of information and thought it was about time I made some kind of contribution.

I have a fair bit of travelling experience, but will be making my first India trip in November. Consequently, I have no practical information or tips to give anybody, so music, which is my profession, seemed like a good option.

Actually I wrote the song for a competition on another forum devoted to musicians and music software developers. It won!

"the band and voice are very good" - well, that's really sweet. Yes, it is I, singing, playing all the instruments, recording, mixing and basically doing everything (oh dear, now I'm beginning to show off!).

I should be in Mumbai mid-November and then heading to Goa, after that, dunno, I'll be doing it on the fly. I'll have a guitar with me so if anybody's up for a good sing-song, please get in touch.

Cheers, Mark.

Good to hear from you, Mark, I love it when someone's got a guitar with them, so useful. Wish I could play the acoustic guitar (done tons of choral singing and I sing along to myself at home, was thinking of taking it up just so I could accompany myself).

After listening to it about 20 times, I want it, how can I download it for my iPod?

Have you produced any other music Mark?

iPod? Sorry mate, no idea. What format do you need?

I've produced loads of music, all commercially available, but either I can't say what it is (non-disclosure agreement) or I'd rather keep quiet about it (hahaha).

I'm writing some more "Curry-Pop" tunes at the moment, and hope to find suitable inspiration when I make my first visit to India in November. With a bit of luck an album should come out in the Spring.

And BTW Steven, excellent work with the train information! Ta very much!

First, copy the URL from the top of the page (http://www.captainmarkrocks.com/07_0...urryGirl.mp 3)

Then , open iTunes, click on "advanced" next "open stream" , paste the URL , click OK .

Once it`s in the library , sync with the iPod.

This is the menu from iTunes for Mac , but it should be the same on Windows iTunes.

CaptainMark has been added another song into our downloads today.

It's the very Gary Glitter inspired song called "I drown my sorrows at the Bombay Palace"

Quote:
This one gives birth to a new genre: "Tandoori Glitter"!

Again you can find it in Mp3 format in our Downloads Section (click here)
