Hey everyone
Just finished fantastic book called Holy Cow! Written by Sarah McDonald. For those Aussies that recognise her name she used to be a Triple J radio announcer. Anyway the book is excellent. The blurp on the back reads... "After backpacking her way around india, sarah decided she hates the country with a passion. When a begger at the airport reads her palm and insists she will one day return-and for love-she screams 'Never!" and gives the country, and him, the finger. But eleven years later, the prophecy comes true. When the love of her life is posted to India, she quits her dream job as a national radio presented to follow him to the most polluted city on earth, New Delhi. It seems like the untimate sacrifice for love and it almost killes her-literally..." Great insight into the good, the bad and the ugly and goes into great depth about all the different types of religions. I thoroughly recommend it. |
