Have you ever Danced to a Dhol ?? http://img476.imageshack.us/img476/3...smallerpj1.jpg Click here to see what wikipedia has to say on Dhol But Don't believe everything you read, because as a North Indian I know it for a fact that without a dhol the celebrations are considered incomplete. When you have a good Dhol-Walah, who knows his job well, then there is no way that you can stop your foot from tapping. Its an instrument whose sound signifies spirit of celebration, once you get hooked to it, you can feel your Adrenaline being pumped up, even if its playing at a distance. People of all age groups enjoy it and it holds special importance in a North Indian Baraat (Wedding Possesion). It adds that extra zing to the celebrations and fervour. So the question is .. have you ever experienced the madness ?? Last edited by machadinha : May 23rd, 2007 at 05:57. Reason: removed image tags |
