Not really; both threads are older, and their seeming relationship has been noted before

I didn't know about either till yesterday, so for me it is.
When I discovered the other one, I asked for the posts to be moved there, from a thread where they were not necessarily OT but tangential.

Arre, surprised you didn't know about it. Specially since you read Conboy's other book 'CIA's Secret War in Tibet'.

Ah yes, the golden age of Indo-U.S. cooperation, the 60's.

WHAT? No, REALLY?

Nah, I meant on the lines that Conboy is common to both books and thought the other book wud have the usual "Also by this author list", plus the whole China/Tibet/SFF/CIA/Chushi/DL angle (he gets a few mentions, even an interesting photo "inspecting the troops" in Chakrata when he was around 35) and you always seem to know something or other about a story if there's a Tibet angle to it, SO..... I naturally assumed you'd heard of it. Never mind, I'm just rambling. It's a great read. Golden era of Indo-US cooperation and all that.
Warning: A bit disjointed though, it tends to deal in movie-style flashbacks and swings back and forth over the years. If you've read Bill Aitken you'll know what I mean.
