phantom, most of the book stalls have it (the yellow colour paperback).

This is one of the popular items amoung school children in bookfares in Bangalore (at Kanteerava stadium grounds).

thanks beach.
i just had a quick dip into this and decided to try the chapter about peeping into the ashram, because i had visited the ashram in ahmedabad. it was ahmedabad he was talking about, but what i laughed at was the choosing of a site for a new ashram. one of the attractions was that it was close to the jail, and gandhi knew that they would be going there often.

Why?

IF we can destroy a village in order to save it or hold 2 opposite views simultaneously, 2/3 files of radical viewpoints lying next to each other is no big deal. :-)

The PDF is great for a glimpse or a read, but...

Nothing can replace the original Navajivan Trust paperback available throughout India at a subsidized 30 R/.

Every educated Indian will recognize the book, and every illiterate Indian will recognize the cover art and respect you in your office as bearer of the image of Ghandiji.

Wielding it anywhere heralds resoundingly that you are a literate, culturally sensitive, historically informed visitor. Which tends to produce a good vibe around you even if you happen not to be a rabid culture vulture.
