Question Funky Neighbourhood India

Hi,
I'm a television producer from Singapore and I'm going to India to film some "funky neighbourhoods".
Essentially, these places have a distinctive character eg. bohemian, quirky, outrageously rich, etc and are inhabited by interesting residents who love these places so much that they choose to live there.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!

And I would suggest Daryagang Book Market in Delhi on a Sunday when the pavement full of old books being sold.

In Mumbai:
Visit the Catholic neighbourhoods off hill road in Bandra - distinctive architecture, these must have been occupied for generations and I am sure the residents love it there.

In Delhi:
Visit the mushrooming colonies in Gurgaon. Though these are modern buildings, the occupants are the new emerging breed of young Indian IT / BPO professionals and they stand for everything the 'Indian Outsourcing' story is all about. Its a very interesting neighbourhood for sure.

There is the outrageous and surreal Amby Valley near Bombay. They have made Swiss chalets in a place which gets as hot as 30 C alongwith a landing strip big enough to land a 737, a Jack Nick golf course and all sorts of absurd bells and whistles. Utter waste of resources, but you should probably go check it out.
