I found Alice in the Cities by Wim Wenders to be one such film, right from its early scenes where the journalist drives across the US, to the scenes in Amsterdam.

In 27 Down, a Hindi film directed by A. K. Kaul, the lead actor M. K. Raina did a great job as an artist who is forced by circumstances to become a train conductor, and generally loses control of his life. I found it a poignant film. A large part of the movie is set in trains. In fact, the title of the film refers to a train from Bombay to Varanasi.

Ronak, earlier in this thread, mentioned Riding Solo To The Top Of The World directed by Gaurav Jani, describing his solitary motorcycle journey to Changthang. I haven't seen this film, but hope to do so. There are some links about the film in the thread `Life is elsewhere'.

I was watching Nanhe Jaisalmner the other day, and even though I didn't like the move even to sit through it, however it reinforced the desire to be in Jaisalmer that I have had for some years now...I mean that city seems to be so beautiful....
