extras needed, aamir khan's the rising, mumbai Feb/Mar

This was posted on the Bollywood forum I belong to. Extras needed for Aamir Khan's next film after his Laagan, 'The Rising'.

Will you or anyone you know be in the Mumbai area in February and March?
A Mumbai casting company needs foreigners to be extras in 'The Rising' with Aamir Khan. The details:
Mid-Feb.: 150 needed for a crowd, plus 20 couples needed for a ballroom dance scene. Four days of shooting. Dancers also get three-four days of training. (Dates are set but may change.)
Late Feb.: 250 needed for a crowd scene. Two days of shooting. (Dates set, could change.)
Early March: 230 needed for a crowd scene. Dates not yet set.
Travel (from Mumbai, possibly from Goa, to a city between the two) and food expenses and drinking water are provided in addition to pay. Pay received at the end of each day's shooting. Half-pay for the dance training days. Most shooting is daytime shooting.
Since film is about the British in India in the mid-1800s, must be caucasian. All ages.

How much is the pay? I once got 1000 baht (about Rs1100) for a few hours crowd work in Bangkok plus food and drink provided. They also put on a bus from a central point and returned us. It was great fun!

priceless

I'm not sure how much it pays, but what's that commercial? "A day or three on a high profile Bollywood set, with Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerjee, and Amisha Patel? Priceless."

I you are serious about this adventure send me a message or mail for the info on the mumbai casting organizer. Amended june 2005; (PLEASE don't mail me about his as it happened a long time ago. thanks.)
