i read an article about this group and found some youtubes on them. profound, really...

here is an intro from the article:

Singing Coldplay's "Fix You," Knittle transforms the song into a powerful ballad about a grandfather's healing wisdom. It means something different coming from an 80-year-old retiree suffering from congestive heart failure.

Knittle is a singer for the Young@Heart Chorus, whose members range from 73 to 92 years old. Singing songs they shouldn't even know, at an age when they're expected to be sitting quietly somewhere, they subvert all accepted notions of old and young.

Songs by bands like the Radiohead, OutKast and Nirvana take on a new dimension when performed by these 23 foot-stomping senior citizens. "Fix You" or the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go" become about life and death.

another wow!
Having ignored this thread for so long I thought I'd better trawl through and see if I'd been trumphed.
Lotus Blossom anticipates my choice 'Fix You' by Young at Heart.
The vocalist has a lovely voice.

Tourism at an Angle:

Statistics about tourism, the effects on local economies that tourists exert, etc. Pretty interesting.

* Note that metacafe is not youtube, but a very similar website.

These aren't connected to India... although the Free Hugs campaign is spreading throughout the world.......my concern would be BO

1.Free Hugs campaign

apparently, never eat/drink this combination together - .... but don't worry, this is the more scientific/entertaining video related to this phenomena!

Good one Vir!

I can't believe all those comics stole Rajneesh's work! No wonder its such a funny bit...but I must say...he did it first and he did it best!

Another must see.

very funny indeed - esp. how straight-faced he is while reading it. i think the origin is from monty python's 'history of the F word'.

LB......who did it first, Rajneesh or Monty Python...?

I don't know why i care!!!! I guess I just love comedy, and i'd like to know whose bit this is.....as it is SO f***king funny!

I have heard many comics do it...but must say, I liked Rajneesh the best, also because of his incredible straight faced delivery!
