DJ Gigs in Dance Clubs

hi:

i'm wondering if they are hard to come by and if anyone has done it in indian dance clubs, in bombay, goa, b'lore or chennai?...how did you get the gig?, did you just send a demo tape or have connections?

would love to get some info.

the style i play are mostly progressive house and breaks...

Well, here is my philosophy. Lie!

Just say I want to work as a bartender in Bombay or Delhi's hottest nightclub, I'll just lie to them and told them I've worked at the best clubs and pubs in Sydney. You should do the same thing, give 'em a demo and tell them you've played at places you've only been to as a tourist.

I hear Calcutta is starting to get a nightscene quickly. Mainly being endorsed by Bollywood actors and actresses, such as Sushmita Sen. I think that's her name. I'll probably end up seeing Calcutta in a few years time again, but not anytime soon. I'm a bit curious now.
