Can I play my music cassette tapes and CD's from US in India?

good to know, thanks ! I don't want to pack them if I can't play them and I know VCR tapes are not compatible, just wanted to make sure it wasn't the same with music tapes and cd's.

bc4e, DVDs may be incompatible. US DVDs come with region code 1 but Indian players are compatible with region code 5.
