But would theseDVDs have English subitles? (Or other languages?) The reason why I didn't buy any in India was I was afraid I wouldn't be able to understand. Or are you talking about Indian grocers in the USA--in that case I can't even imagine where to begin looking for one in the land of the giant corporate supermarkets most everywhere.

My local Indian grocer sells them all with English subtitles (although the other day I got Arabic subtitles by accident) - sometimes the subtitles are a bit before/behind the dialogue but it's only a couple of seconds and it's still quicker than my hindi translation!

Although I live in Australia's capital city, it's pretty small by US standards and we still have at least 3 Indian grocers that sell Hindi DVDs.

most bollywood dvds from indian grocers are in region 1 (US) coding . Some of them are VCD(and coding neutral).

There you go. I can only comment on Australia and India, though

Australia's region 4, think region 1 is only US and Canada according to that link.

I have bought song DVDs and my mom is a big fan of http://www.nehaflix.com in the US. They have a wide selection of Indian movies, DVDs, etc.

I found this on their web site so its not just USA where they ship stuff to:

Hey, thank you again!

The link to nehaflix is indeed very interesting and I think that if my husband can't find any DVDs during his stay I probably decide to buy some online but ..... I still have this doubt:

Guerik, are you sure that Indian DVD are not regional coded?

Just another question: any of you knows a movie titled "Tezaab"?

Tehzeeb? I have seen it but don't remember much about it.

I am sure that the ones I've been buying aren't regionally coded - they play in my brother's PS2 (my DVD player is all-zone though). I can't guarantee they all are though.

Well, really I don't know anything about the movie itself, but the soundtrack was the soundtrack of my first trip and I still love it very much! (Ek, do, teen .... )
So I was only curious to know if some of you expert on Bollywood movies can give me some notice about it (the story, the actors, etc.)

It's worth picking up...I guess. It's standard bollywood fare, except that that song is very popular(perhaps the most popular bollywood song from that era except for ANOTHER song featuring the same lady, that goes "cholle ke peeche kya hai" (what's under my blouse)...in a film called Khal nayak (villain))

Added later:

(It's not all that perverse , Oh you with dirty minds! she has her HEART under her blouse)
