Bollywood films with English subs in Delhi?

I would love to see a Bollywood film while I am here - but I would like to have some understanding of what is happening.

I have been to the Regal and Odeon at Connaught Place but they had no English subtitles.

Does anyone know where they have films with English subs or where I might find out this info?

Try videos

I've never seen subtitles on a hindi movie in a theatre in India, but often when people rent movies from the local video place, the videos are pirated versions of Bollywood films for the middle east, and have Arabic AND English subtitles.

This seems to be especially true when the movie is new in India, so I think maybe the Bollywood films come out on video versions earlier in the Middle East than within India? Pallika Bazaar in Connaught Place in Delhi is great to buy pirated CDs, but unfortunately the cover doesn't tell you if the movie has subtitles, and the guys in those shops are unlikely to know, either.

Videos in India are mostly sold or rented nowadays on VCD format, and play on Windows computers, VCD players, and also on DVD players.

I have often seen pirated versions of bollywood movies in Belgium before they were released in India. Out of my experience VCD's mostly don't have subtitles. If you have a DVD it is most safe to buy DVD's only.
But I think that was not the question. The question was whether it is possible to see bollywood movies in India w/o subtitles and I am afraid the answer is no. But even if you don't understand a word hindi i still believe it is worth the experience of going and seeing one.

A Bollywood film I saw on the flight between KL and Delhi (Malaysia Airlines) had subtitles, as I suppose would be expected on an international flight. Unfortunately they only had those central screens above the aisle, and the closest one was stuffed so the subtitles were flaring horizontally and hardly legible for the most part.

Luckily they kept switching from Hindi to English in their spoken language. Is this common?
