Even though I hate Indian film, I used to have a thing about Aishwarya Rai. As well as the beauty (Green eyes, even) she came over as a natural comedienne. Now she's a sophisticated star, which is boring.

But my big star is Kathak dancer, Saswati Sen.

Although SRK tends to invade my daydreams often, I can't say that I feel quite the same about the ladies! So if you're not ok, I'm not ok wiht you....ummmm yeah.

BUT I do have a great affection for Kajol...just not in the bibical sense!!

Admire Ash and Rani too.

Ahh...Good!! So "I am OK, You're OK" !!
(Now I know, where do famous writers steal their book titles from .. )

What is "great affection in not so biblical sense"?

I have to confess I just don't get the Shah Rukh thing at all. I feel like he has the same hair that all my male classmates had when I was in 8th grade. What's with the feathering and isn't it time for a change already?!

Actually, I could leave all the Bollywood heroes.....except one. That Kunal Kapoor is one tall, dark and handsome fine hunka man.

If Shah Rukh ki Jaddoo reaches you, my guess is you won't find someone else who has a similar effect

He's like the Haagen Dazs of Bollywood stars...you'll never be able to stomach Asda's own brand again. You're right though, I do rather like John Abraham but somehow it's not the same.

Normally feathered hair would leave me gagging too but then I've stuck with Johnny Depp through more than a decade of dodgy 'dos. With a face like that I can forgive Mr Khan the odd bouffant faux pas.

(A moustache might be a step too far though. Although Johnny managed it...)

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... thats who he is.. I saw him in Rang De Basanti and fell head over heels in lust... he's mighty fine and tall just as I like em

My other crushes are from when I was younger... Anil Kapoor and Govinda. Also I had a thing for Naseeruddin Shah and Nana Pateker. I have an odd taste in men

Yes - he was hot stuff in Rang De Basanti. I wanted to put a pin-up poster of him in my locker after seeing him in that. He's totally lust-worthy. I noticed there was recently an article about him in OK magazine, but I don't know if we can find that here in India! If you're in UK you can check it out and report back on what he said! It might have been 2 weeks ago.

Not really Bollywood, but Padma Lakshmi(!). I'd drink her bathwater (and more). Shefali Shetti and Parminder Nagra (also, not Bollywood) are both pretty cute too.

Do you think if I learn Hindi I could get any acting gigs in Bollywood? Is there a niche for middle-aged, greying, American actors?

Check out this link:

http://ia.rediff.com/movies/2007/aug/07chopra.htm

Anupama Chopra (wife of Vidhu Vinod Chopra) spent 4 years on a book about SRK - read the interview with her - she says about a rumour that SRK is bi (with Karan Johar). One of my best friend's cousin is Gauri (SRK's wife) and I am planning on meeting them one of these days when I return to India.

SRK is a chain smoker and has a very bad back. He underwent surgery in London couple of years ago. Even then it is amazing the dance moves he does. He is also a wonderful family man.

On another actor, 2 years ago I was flying Air Canada from Toronto to Delhi - I was in business class and the seat in from of me was occupied by John Abraham (he was returning after the Toronto International film festival where one of his movies was being screened). I went up to get a magazine and on the way back to my seat, recognized him. So I said, "Hi John". He pulls my hand said "Don't tell anybody I am on this flight, I will get mobbed". I said "No worries John, nobody knows you as you are not yet a star". Talk about deflating someone's ego

Cheers

i'm not sure what i would do if i saw john abraham on a flight that i was on. it'd be hard to stay in my seat. i guess i'd make lots of excuses to go past where he was sitting to steal glances at him.

ash doesn't do anything for me. there are a few actresses that i like, generally those who play strong, independent women - Manisha Koirala in Lajja, as an example.

I am another fan of John Abraham....

Kajol and Rani Mukherjee are good actresses, but I wouldn't leave my partner for them
