Woodstock Villa

In the tradition of film noir that is guaranteed to shock, thrill and surprise. A compelling film from the national award winning director Hansal Mehta, about swiftly changing moralities in today's world.

After a successful businessman's stunning wife disappears, hostile & taunting ransom demands follow. As the true nature of stakes for the captor and his captives unfold, Woodstock Villa lithely transforms from a precision neo noir into a chilling & shocking thriller & ultimately into a vivid, invigorating icy masterpiece of murder, mystery, and suspense.

Neither pleading eyes nor bound wrists, nor a shallow grave are what they seem as a moment of relief is suddenly transformed into a web of deceit and a moment of truth is followed by a sudden web of lies.

Unsettling, thrilling, hallucinatory, suspenseful & erotic, Woodstock Villa is contemporary entertainment that breaks new ground with every twist.

AAMIR : Releasing this week

Aamir, the name literally means leader and our protagonist (Rajeev) becomes a follower not because of faith, not out of zeal but out of 'fear'. Geographically Aamir's maze is set in the Muslim dominated, but poor, areas of Bombay. In its lanes and by lanes, cheap restaurants and lodges, amongst nameless pimps and whores, run-down buildings and over-crowded markets, filth and squalor, Aamir is supposed to understand the life he has lived, the 'choices' he has made, his dreams, his loves and his immediate fears.

Through the course of one day lost in the streets of Mumbai the question remains that do you choose your destiny, or does destiny choose you, and whether Aamir chooses to be a follower or become a leader.

Humsey Hai Jahaan (June 6, 2008)

Chancing upon a life as a drifter and a con man, Sameer Khanate (Mashhoor Amrohi) makes his way to Singapore and lands a job working as a 'Recovery agent' for Gary Rosario (Jackie Shroff), an underground racketeer of night clubs.

Earning his livelihood by masquerading and cheating people of their money, Sameer's life takes a tumble when his own brother finds himself in need of financial help. With his Boss - Gary Rosario refusing to help him out, Sameer is left with no viable option. He comes up with a vicious plan of kidnapping the daughter of a multimillionaire super star actor, Gyaneshwar Singh (Shehzad Khan) in order to solve his financial crunch.

In his quest to relieve himself of his unavoidable misery, he promises Esha a world of dreams and leads her into believing that they are soul mates. What Sameer doesn't realize is that destiny has different plans for him, as he succumbs to the temptation of Gyaneshwar Singh's daughter Esha's (Vishakha Singh) beauty, and falls head over heels for her. He takes her off to a romantic weekend on Sentosa Island, with the dual motive of spending some quality time with his newfound love and getting her away from her dad and asking him for a ransom. Seeing a beautiful possibility of living a life full of happiness with Sameer, Esha also agrees to elope with Sameer.

Thanks for your updates, Indizen! I've totally been out of touch with the releases lately.

Re: Sarkar Raj - I'm not so sure I can handle that many Bachchans in one flick - couldn't they at least through Jaya in as well

Dashavatar

Lord Vishnu is regarded as the Supreme Being, protecting the Gods as well as mortals like us, from evil; and he has done so by incarnating in ten avatars -

Matsya, Kurm, Varaha, Narsimha, Parshuram, Vaman, Ram, Krishna, Gautam Buddha, and Kalki.

The larger-than-life saga hurtles through a sequence of heroic exploits of the various avatars of Lord Vishnu and is packed with action, drama and adventure. Dashavatar explores the origin and the dynamism of each of these avatars, woven into an interesting narrative. It promises to be a magnum opus with a superlative quality of animation, voices of many acclaimed actors and mellifluous music. Dashavatar has a fascinating story telling pattern in which the old world sensitivities would appeal to the modern mind.

Summer 2007

Five medical students from a capitation fee college in India, represent the youth hooked onto XBox's and Formula 1 Racing. That is the only India they have inherited and that is the only India they know, until one day, a game they play, goes too far. As an outcome, they land up in one of the most deprived villages in Maharashtra. Their rural posting turns into a soul-searching journey where they are forced to confront their own apathy, their own fears and their strange complicity in the circumstances of the village. Before they can run from there, they get sucked into the whirlpool of the counter currents. Each of the five undergo different kinds of catharsis and in the end, they have to make a choice. Do they leave the mess just as they had found it and get away from there? Or do they choose to get involved?

Janaradhan Wishvanbhar Rane (Paresh Rawal) a widower has spent his life bringing up his two kids Chirag (Manoj Joshi) and Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna). Janaradhan has done everything for his kids to bring them up in the best possible manner, ever since they were toddlers. Now when the duo has grown up, Gaurav takes up the responsibility of his father. They both manage the household chores and their business to the best of their abilities. Though he is the younger son, he treats his father like his son. Gaurav is on guard with the vigilance of a disciplined parent. He shouts, threatens, and fights - even locks up his father occasionally so that his prankster best friend Madhav Mathur (Om Puri) who is a divorcee, desperate to get married, does not spoil him.

Madhav and Janaradhan who are always in search of a bride for Madhav forever land up in trouble and every time Gaurav has to bail them out and face the embarrassment.

De Taali

Welcome to a world filled with friends, love and Laughter.
Welcome to a world where life is defined by friendship and friendship is defined by love. Paglu, Amu & Abhi live the lives of each other. They drink, eat & sleep together. Sleep? Don't take it otherwise though. But they are certainly an integral part of each others lives.

Amu is a girl amongst the two guys, though Paglu & Abhi don't treat her like one. Paglu is the one who makes her realize about her feelings and helps her get her love. And Abhi is the rich, kind and classy guy who falls in love every time he meets a weird girl. Life however takes a serious fun turn when one of them falls in love with the other. And the one is sadly in love with some one else all together.

Fun-Filled and Love-Filled moments collide. Friendships break to turn into love. Or not? De Taali captures Friendship in its most real form. You are bound to realize how true this actually is.

Haal-e-dil

When love is not madness, it is not love…

Haal-e-Dil is about the same neurotic madness that one suffers from when stuck in the maze called love. It's a young love story of people who'd go any lengths to loose themselves as smoke loses itself to the sky. They'd go any lengths to fuse that they'd not know where one ended and another began.
