From the website:

Day 07 / Mumbai ( Spend a day long Bollywood Tourism )bollywood tour, mumbai
The Bollywood Tourism Package is day long, split into two sessions.
1st Session: Bollywood Drome
Immerse yourself in the world of your favourite movies.
A specially created studio called BollywooDrome has been designed for the tour - with sets created to recreate memorable Hindi movie scenes.

It will be an interactive and participative session with performers, directors and technicians from Bollywood who will enact scenes from movies for the visitors, along with a question and answer session.

Action sequences - film technicians demonstrate how stunts and fight scenes are executed and finally how it appears on the screen.
Dance sequences - choreographers recreate the dance magic of movies with a demonstration on how it is done.
Scenes from movies - performers with a director will enact scenes and demonstrate techniques.
Q & A sessions - visitors can ask questions and get answered by the panel of technician.
Interval: Lunch at BollywooDrome in the style of a unit lunch.
Yes, this is the Bollywood "package" tour put on by Popcorn Entertainment and headed by BW actor Sunil Shetty. This tour has gotten really rotten ratings (I read that in a couple of online articles). Its still in the experimental stages and was only started in Jan of 2005. The tour does not take you to actual Bollywood sets or shootings but to "re-creations" of actual BW sets. It cost 100 US dollars. Its sounds like a bad trip to meeee.

(Sorry, that doesnt get you any closer to a backlot tour)
That must have been Govinda, actor turned politician (a Member of Indian Parliament representing a part of North Mumbai)

Reviving this thread 2 years later, is there anything more reasonably priced/ and value for money now ? I'm thinking along the lines of the Universal Studios Theme Park, Los Angeles, with their Back to the Future rides, the 3-D Terminator show, the animal tricks show, the Halloween House and of course the back lot tour through the Jaws lake, the Moses floods, King Kong, earthquakes, Psycho house, back to the future clock and so on..

Anything as organized as that for Bollywood yet ?
