some sort of online diary or so

I have a blog regarding my journey to India, however, when I posted the link on my profile, I received a number of very nasty (and sexual) comments. They even left links that led back to IM, using the names of India Mike and Shimla, so I won't do that again, which is too bad, considering a few of my blog entries will be published in a local yoga mag.

I´ve opened up a blog on blogger (empty now, start posting after arriving in India this weekend) where comments must go thru a log in via a distorted picture of the login word. This to stop evil web robots (cybergoondas) generating trash comments/links. If this problem should come up in spite of this, I can disable comments later on.

Hope your evildoers were of the automatic kind.

my blog is also on blogger. I had utilized an "add-on" called Tagboard where people could leave comments, and the comments were left on the tagboard. After all the crap that went down, I would not even consider having any feature where people could leave comments.

When the smoke is disproportionately larger than the actual fire, we miss Sukumar Roy.

Only he could have given a fitting reply to the nonsense thats being served up in the name of journalism.

Since he is long gone, Paagla Dashu has to make a humble attempt.

I see here that blogspot.com is quite popular... even then;

Which blogsite gives maximum MB space? Space to upload pics? Audio?

And which are relatively easy to use? My only real practising site is IndiaMike; which is quite simple to use....

Blogspot was recommended to me by someone who know a lot about blogging! So I use it. But I never really compared blogsites. Sorry for not having any detailed information.
