blog or googlepages??

I was thinking of create my own blog (thru blogsport) or webpage (thru googlepages) to record some of my travel experiences.

Although I am aware about the basic functionalities and difference between the two options, I wanted to know experiences of other IMers who are already writing in blogs/webpages, which one better options.

i initially tried both, but was not able to get the desired width in googlepages. also, i was not able to change the page layout as much as i would have wanted. overall, i found blog more flexible. maybe, i was doing things the wrong way in googlepages, but once is started with blogger, there was no looking back.

i threw out the custom templates and put in my blank template. now i simply use basic html for all sort of page designing, like tables, div tags, etc....

do blogs or googlepages come up in google search results?

yes, but this feature is only available with blogs( i guess all the blogs, blogger, wordpress etc) they do .. even more they have the flexibility wherein you can check and uncheck whether you want your blog to be available or not

yes, they come up in google search. but i guess they come up a few days after you have created the post.
