Do you mean to say that if the title is translated it will lead to the song?

well, not exactly ... the word "biday" does translate to part of the title of the original song.

Does the word "biday" in Bengali have the same meaning as the word "bidaai" in Hindi?

good detective work, shymom! It is Farewell Angelina ... I hadn't heard that Harry Belafonte song though. Here's Baez singing Farewell Angelina

and here's Sumon singing Biday Porichita.

I bid 'farewell' to Julia and 'angel' was also in one of my clues.

Aankhon mein jal raha hai kyoon, bujtha nahin dhuaan
Uththa tho hai ghata sa barastha nahin dhuaan

Choolha nahin jalaye ya basti hi jal gayi
Kuch roj ho gaye hain abh uThtha nahin dhuaan

Aankhon se ponchne se laga aanch ka patha
Yoon chehra pher lene se chuptha nahin dhuaan

Aankhon se aansoon ke marasim purane hain
Mehmaan ye ghar meiN aayen tho chubtha nahin dhuaan

Album: Marasim

Farewell Angelina - of course!

Well done shymom and google

I don't know why I didn't get it but I was tired.

Now a puzzle for arindam: which Dylan song (Joan Baez sings it) contains the line Too weary to talk and too tired to sing?

Lovely Jagjit song biman, I have it playing as I type

Julia, I don't remember off the top of my head ... but I know where to look, no, not Google. I think you have given me a clue, so I will need to listen to the album "Joan Baez sings Dylan". The problem is, I can immediately rule out 8 or 10 from the 20 songs in the album. I am pretty sure I can come up with the answer if I listen to the rest. Do you really want me to listen to all those, or, do you want to provide another clue? :-)

P.S: I will follow up on Biman's song.
