Just watched Annyan here in Bangalore. It's a Tamil movie.
I just loved it. Quite entertaining.... for all ages and tastes... It made me totally change the idea I used to have about Tamil movies... Now I will keep my eyes open to Tollywood ... ![]() |

I saw Annyan too, and loved it. The same director, Shankar has made some really entertaining movies. His film Nayak is really amazing too.
One of my favorite scenes in Annyan is when the "demented" anti-hero makes Chicken 65 out of his enemy !!! and then deep fries him in the kitchen. ![]() |

I saw Anniyan too.
The actor in lead role Ambi / Remo is Vikram. He has won 3 National Awards for Best Actor for movies Sethu, Kasi and Pitamagan. I am not sure, if the National Awards are also rigged, but Vikram sure did a great job in all the 3 movies. Vickram, am sure, will get nominated again for his role in Anniyan...have wait and watch if any other actor does better this year. Am just waiting for Aamir Khans - The Rising. |

The posters looked pretty interesting. news from kerala is that Anniyan is doing roaring business, better than many malayalam releases during the same time.
Vikram has been a revelation. was doing fairly ordinary roles earlier, and suddenly you have a series of extraordinary performances from him! havent seen the film yet. by the way bangaloredancer, i guess the kerala film industry is called mollywood and/or malluwood .. |

Read the news sometime back that Rajnikanth refused the lead role in this movie !!! So would it be counted as a loss to the movie or to the superstar

Kodambakkam is an area in Chennai.." Tollywood seems to be for "Telugu + Hollywood and in the latter, Tollygunge + Hollywood." Yes they were showing Annyan in San Jose California at the IMC for a while: http://imc6.com/ . |

Bombay film industry is called Bollywood ( first alphabet common )
Telugu film industry is called tollywood ( first alphabet common ) Tamilnadu / Tamil film industry is called Kollywood ( no common first alphabet ). Is it because, Kollywood was already used by Telugu movies... Mallu film industry , can then be called Mollywood ! |
