a guide into downloading Bollywood movies and soundtracks on IRC

hi, thought i'd share some information about how to get into serious downloading on this monday morning.. i might forget myself one day --- if i stay too long in the jungle, so here it comes;

this place i found on IRC is in my opinion one of the best there is for all the latest hindi movies and music mp3's. even bittorrent files come from here.

software to use:

mac users : ircle site
windws: lot of options, make sure it supports DCC
lot of people use mIRC site

after launch, make yourself a nickname in the preferences,
then add this server to the server list: irc.apna-movies.net
and connect to it.

if ok, your connected to irc. well done.


open the channel list in your irc program
refresh.
lot of channels you see here, if you filter on users, you see the channels which are being used by many users. that's ok.


channels:
#apna-movies : all the latest movies and more
#apna-rhythm: all the latest soundtracks and more music
#apna-search: (info from channel) To Search for a file on #apna-movies and #apna-rhythm type !search searchterm

don't get frigtened, when you click on one of above 2. it's not the matrix, it only looks like it. soon you'll get to know how to work with it.


--some important info:
dcc, and ctcp is the protocol to download things from f-servers(server) through a trigger(advertising bot, advertises the movies or the music on the specific server, and much more info).

so what you type in the message bar:
/msg [aM]-TKR|2|5 xdcc send #1

so #1 starts downloading

this is the fast way. you haven't been in a server.

for example to get on a f-serve:

1. you need the trigger to get in.
the trigger is : /ctcp Bunty !DESIMOVIES

so you type in the command window:
/ctcp Bunty !DESIMOVIES

now your in Bunty his server.
from now on it's DOS commands to get the files.
