There's (or was a couple of years ago) a decent size second hand book shop on the main road leading down to the beach in Calangute, left hand side on the way down. Theres also one on of of the side roads leading off the main road which also sells new books at a reasonable price. If its just easy reading your after its also worth popping into the hotels and checking out the books guests leave behind.

Vagator (Goa)
In Vagator there is Rainbow Bookshop, near Robert's Place and Baskin Robbins. They have all of the usual travel books plus some other rare finds.

BTW, I just visited Bosco who runs Jay Jay books near Cavala's in Baga. They have a selection of fiction and non-fiction, and keep English, French and Swedish (but not Russian and Hebrew, since they can't understand those languages). Doing an article on that which I'll probably share here once it's published. Last edited by brownboy66 : Mar 14th, 2009 at 20:23. Reason: merged sequential posts |

In Mumbai there is one second hand book shop with same name @ Metro. It has good collection. It's in the opposite lane to Metro which goes to Kalbadevi area.
